How to find the paint color code for your car
Regardless of whether you have a Sierra or a Canyon, GMC has made locating your paint code simple. Depending on the model and year of your vehicle, the paint code will be in different places. The code is on the service parts identification stickers, to find this:

- Open the passenger side door
- Check in the glove box and in the middle console
- Move to the driver’s side door and open it
- Look on the door jamb
- Also, try checking the passenger door rear

How to find out what color your car is

The code above represents Crystal Claret Tintcoat, which is prevalent on the GMC Sierra. Often a color can be represented by multiple codes, for example, 50GAZ/WA8624 Olympic White or 51/GAO/WA316N Gold Mist Metallic.
GMC’s paint codes can vary in length from two digits long up to six and contain both numbers and letters. They will often begin with WA OR U.
The GMC service parts identification sticker has numerous codes on it. To find the paint code, look for the “BC/CC” heading, it is usually at the bottom. You will find the code to the right-hand side of it.
