Understanding your Honda’s color code

Similar to other manufacturer’s Honda’s color codes are comprised of numbers and letters. However, unlike other makers, Honda codes can range anywhere from four to eight characters in length.

Example: NH-731P

The code above represents NH-731P Crystal Black Pearl. Other examples include NH658P Graphite Pearl or NH-578 Taffeta White. Sometimes Honda codes have suffixes at the end, but these do not change the color. For instance, B-92P/B-92P-4/B-92P-1 all represent Nighthawk Black Pearl.

Locating the Honda color code on the manufacturer’s tag can take slightly longer than other manufacturers because it generally doesn’t have any prefixes or headings to identify it. However, it is usually located directly underneath the middle of the barcode.

What do you know about Honda?

Regularly ranking among the best car brands in the world, Honda’s business has changed significantly from the post-war bike manufacturer it started as in 1964. After becoming the first foreign vehicle to be manufactured in the U.S., Honda has grown from strength to strength.

Renowned for their long-lasting and reliable cars, Honda’s most popular models include the Civic, CR-V, Odyssey, and Pilot. Their metallic and pearl colors like NH-662P Sagebrush Pearl have become fan favorites in recent years, as the company continues to grow in popularity.

M.R. from Glastonbury, CT likes her Desert Mist Metallic YR-538: It is evident to me that this seller is very knowledgeable about his products and explained to my satisfaction a few questions I had about the paint. This company was very consumer friendly to me. I have yet to use the paint due to either weather or availability of car but it looks perfect. I strongly suspect that I would use this company again should the need arise.
