- Go to the rear of the car and look in the trunk
- Check along the entirety of the trunk lid

Making sense of the color code of your Pontiac

Pontiac paint codes usually are four digits long and have numbers and letters. Many different codes can represent one color, so be aware of this when using our website to order your paint.
Example: 90/WA238M
The above color code is from a Pontiac Grand Am Moonstone Gray Metallic. Other examples include 19/19U/WA546G Black Mica and 62 / GHY / WA687F Red Hot.
The VIN tag has a lot of information on it. The Pontiac paint code will be prefixed with “BC/CC U” and is near the bottom of the tag. You will only see the code, 04U/WA402N, and not the description, Urban Gray Metallic.
Pontiac: What do you know?
Pontiac was founded nearly a hundred years ago and is a subsidiary of General Motors. With models like the Grand Am, and Grand Prix popular throughout the 70s, Pontiac was successful in the North American market.
Unfortunately, Pontiac ran into financial troubles in the early 2000s. Despite GM’s best efforts, it was decided that Pontiac would be discontinued. The last Pontiac’s were built in 2009 with franchise agreements ending in 2010. GM now focuses on its four other brands Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC.
